Day 1: Arrivalin Casablanca

Start your 10-day Moroccan adventure with a warm welcome as we pick you up from the airport or your accommodation in Casablanca, the economic center, and largest city in Morocco. Our first destination is the iconic Hassan II Mosque, the country’s largest, situated on a promontory with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. After a leisurely lunch, explore the city and stroll along the stunning Corniche of Casablanca. Conclude the day with an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca to Chefchaouen via Rabat

After a delightful breakfast, our journey takes us along the scenic coastline to Rabat, the current capital and one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Explore the historical landmarks of Rabat, including the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the enchanting Kasbah of Oudaya. Enjoy some free time for lunch before we continue our adventure north through Ouazzane, arriving at the captivating Blue City, Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. Known for its white and blue-painted buildings and charming alleyways, Chefchaouen promises a unique and picturesque experience. Conclude the day with an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.

Day 3: Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis and Meknes

Start your day with a leisurely exploration of the charming blue alleyways of Chefchaouen after breakfast. Following this, embark on a journey to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its well-preserved artifacts, including beautiful mosaics, pillars, and archways.

After soaking in the historical ambiance, we travel 30 km to Meknes, known as the Ismaili capital and one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Explore key attractions such as Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stable, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum.

Our day concludes as we head to Fes, where you’ll experience an overnight stay in a traditional Riad, immersing yourself in the rich cultural atmosphere of this historic city.

Day 4: Guided Tour of Fes

Commence your day with a delightful breakfast, followed by an exploration of the cultural and religious heart of Morocco—Fes. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, discover the imperial city’s highlights.

Begin with the Royal Palace gate and then delve into the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), the entrance to the old Medina. Wander through the Medina to visit the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, and the fascinating Tanneries. Cap off the morning with a visit to the Quaraouin mosque and university, recognized as the oldest university in the world.

Venture outside the Medina to explore the Jewish quarter, also known as “the Mellah.” In the afternoon, we’ll drive to an ancient fortress for a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes. Conclude your day with a return to your Riad, where you can reflect on the rich experiences of Fes.

Day 5: Fes to Merzouga Sahara via Ifrane and Ziz Valley

Begin your day with a warm breakfast as we head south through Imouzzer to explore Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its low temperature, snowy landscapes, and alpine-style architecture.

Our journey continues to the cedars forest, where friendly Barbary macaques await. Enjoy the unique experience of feeding these creatures while strolling through the forest. Later, we move on to Midelt, offering you free time for lunch.

Traveling through the picturesque Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the stunning Ziz Valley, we reach Merzouga in the Sahara Desert. In the afternoon, swap vehicles for camels and cross the sandy desert. Pause atop a high dune to witness a mesmerizing sunset before continuing to the desert camp. Experience the blend of nomadic tradition and luxury as you enjoy Berber drum music, dance around the campfire beneath the starlit sky. Dinner and overnight stay in the camp.

Day 6: Explore Merzouga Region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga Lake – Erg Chebbi – Palm Grove

Begin your 6th day with an early morning wake-up to witness the breathtaking sunrise in the heart of the desert. After a leisurely breakfast, return on camels to Merzouga, where your driver awaits. Today is dedicated to exploring the diverse and fascinating region of Merzouga, offering a myriad of incredible sites and outdoor activities.

Our journey starts with an off-road drive to an ancient eyeliner mine in Merzouga, followed by a visit to nomads in their handmade woven tents. Learn about their traditional way of life while enjoying a refreshing Berber tea. Next, head to the Khamlia village, where you’ll be treated to the captivating beats of Gnaoua music and vibrant dancing performances. The inhabitants of Khamlia originate from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger.

Enjoy some free time for lunch at a local restaurant, then take a leisurely stroll through a palm trees grove. Drive a few kilometers to discover the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as the flamingos lake. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 7: Merzouga Sahara to Dades Valley via Rissani, Erfoud, and Todra Gorges

After breakfast, bid farewell to the desert and embark on a journey to explore the rich heritage of the region. Our first stop is Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet, still a bustling trading center with a lively souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Stroll through the vibrant Rissani Souk before continuing to Erfoud, where you’ll visit a workshop specializing in fossilized marble. Journey through the picturesque Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves en route to the Todra Gorges. Carved by the Todra River, these gorges form a magnificent canyon, attracting rock climbers and nature enthusiasts. Take some time to wander through the gorges and appreciate the stunning landscape.

Enjoy a leisurely lunch in a local restaurant before continuing your adventure to the Dades Valley through Boumalne Dades. Don’t miss the “monkey fingers” rock formation and a scenic stop atop a mountain overlooking the Dades Valley. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.

Day 8: Dades Valley to Marrakesh via Roses Valley, Skoura, Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou, and High Atlas Mountains

After a satisfying breakfast, our journey continues to Kalaa Magouna, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore the Rose Valley. If you visit in May, you might catch the Rose Festival, where locals showcase their rose products. We then traverse the scenic palm groves of Skoura.

Arriving in Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert, take time to visit the studios where famous movies were filmed. Next on our itinerary is the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This historical site has served as a backdrop for various movies and TV series, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and Game Of Thrones.

As we journey to Marrakesh, traverse the Tizi-n-Tichka pass and the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Pause for lunch and capture picturesque moments at interesting spots along the way. Conclude the day with an overnight stay in a charming Riad in Marrakesh.

Day 9: Guided Tour of Marrakesh
